The 29ª CIFF Guangzhou was an exceptionally spectacular event

The 29th China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou) (also well known as CIFF), famous, according to the organization, as the “ No.1 Platform for the World Class”, “Asia’s Furniture Sourcing Center” and “Weatherglass of China’s Furniture Industry”, was satisfactorily rounded off on March 30, 2012. The 29th CIFF was an exceptionally spectacular event and received high compliments. It had a total exhibition scale of over 680,000SQM for the two phases, 26% growth over the same period of last year. There were more than 3,375 exhibitors from over 29 countries and regions including China, USA, Germany, Italy, France, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Turkey to participate in the event. It attracted 178,036 professional buyers from all over the world, including 136,966 domestic buyers and 41,070 overseas buyers as well as the buyers’ delegations from Turkey, Japan, South Africa and the large furniture sourcing distributors in the mainland China. It formed the most valuable trading platform in the furniture and furnishing industry for both domestic and overseas industrial players. With a scale of over 350,000 SQM, Phase I of the 29th CIFF (March 18-21, 2012), including CIFF-Home Furniture, Homedecor & Housewares China 2012, Intertextile Guangzhou-Hometextile China 2012 and Outdoor & Leisure Guangzhou 2012, attracted more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions including China, USA, Germany, Italy, France, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Turkey. The domestic leading enterprises such as LANDBOND, KUKA, KINWAI, ZUOYOU, BEKING, NOBLE, GAINWELL, ALMA and CENTURY YATAI as well as the international enterprises such as LA-Z-BOY, ASNAGHI, UFAMEBEL, KODA and LORENZO displayed their products and made good business deals in the exhibition. The Home Decor & Home Textile Sector covered 10 halls with nearly 100,000SQM on scale for the first time and was China’s largest trade fair with the best results for the furnishing industry. Phase II of the 29th CIFF (March 27-30, 2012) included CIFF-Office Show and China International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials Fair (Guangzhou) / interzum guangzhou (CIFM/interzum guangzhou). CIFF-Office Show focused on the expansion of the hotel and public furniture sectors, forming three specialized sectors of “offices, hospitality and public furniture”. It has increased its scale to 200,000SQM this year from 130,000SQM last year, and become the world’s largest office furniture fair. 790 renowned brands from all over the world including China, USA, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan gathered together to provide the buyers with the “one-stop” exhibition experience. CIFM/interzum guangzhou held concurrently was recognized as the largest and most comprehensive woodworking machinery and furniture raw materials fair in Asia with the powerful influence on the industry at a high international level. With a huge increase in scale for 8 consecutive years, it reached a scale of 130,000SQM in 2012, 18% growth comparing with that of last year. It has attracted 1,046 enterprises including the pavilions of German, US, Canada, Italian, AHEC, Spanish, Turkish and Chilean to participate in the exhibition. There were 242 overseas exhibitors, accounting for 23% of the total. CIFF is held twice a year. The upcoming autumn show will open on September 7-10, 2012 to further reflect the exhibition positioning of “Equal Emphasis on both Domestic and International Market”.
