Some weeks ago, Infurma published the “March” product that Spanish designer Martí Guixé has created for Finnish brand Nikari for the project 2012 Designs For Nature (12 months, 12 designers, 12 products) (Read New). This month, Swiss designer Alfredo Häberli has created “April” tables. Nikari has shown them in Milan.
The Project 2012 Designs for Nature has been carried out by Nikari in co-operation with the Finnish WWF, and is based in the manufacture of 12 products during the 12 months of the year by 12 recognized designers over the world, who use local forests’ wood and part od the sales price is donated to protecting rainforests and forests globally.
Alfredo Häberli about April tables:
“The idea behind the APRIL table family was to create a contrast between the massive socket and the suspended thin table surface. At the same time the skillful craftsmanship can be seen at its best. Different sizes and typologies enable endless possibilities of use.”
