Back by popular demand, Las Vegas Market and Design Camp are partnering once again for a compelling presentation catered to the design community for Summer Las Vegas Market, August 2-6, 2015. Celebrity designers Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis bring back their national summit.
Led by celebrity interior designers Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis, Design Camp is the quintessential “boot camp” experience for designers - complete with a showroom tour day during market as well as a half day of special guest speakers led by local and national industry experts in the design field. The complimentary summit will kick off with a welcome party cocktail reception on Tuesday, August 4 at the Four Hands Showroom, located on the first floor of Building A (A-140), from 5:00-6:00 pm.
“We are thrilled to bring Design Camp and our guest speakers back to Las Vegas this summer - where it all started,” said Kelli Ellis, co-founder, Design Camp. “Lori and I had a phenomenally successful event last year, and can’t wait to share what we have going on for 2015.”
A key component of the programming roster in Las Vegas for three consecutive markets, the two-day seminar consistently draws hundreds of designers interested in learning from industry experts and networking with design peers. Moreover, Design Camp offers designers CEU credits for each hour of attendance and the opportunity to shop its sponsoring partners’ showrooms exhibiting at Las Vegas Market. Global Sponsors for the summer event include: Noir Furniture, Leftbank Art, Williams-Sonoma, Natuzzi, Lamps Plus and Jaipur Rugs.
“Our Campers will walk away with new connections, essential resources and pages of notes that will help them get to the top of their field,” added Lori Dennis, Design Camp co-founder. “Additionally, Design Camp provides professional accreditation keeping our campers up-to-date on their continued education units.”
“As we expand our offering of better-end resources at Las Vegas Market, Design Camp is great forum to expose designers to those resources throughout our campus,” said Scott Eckman, executive vice president for International Market Centers. “From a programming standpoint, Design Camp is a great complement to our roster. Lori and Kelli are pros, they keep the program lively and fun and provide tangible takeaways that designers can apply to current projects.”
Other highlights of the upcoming Summer Market include the launch of The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, a freestanding, climate-controlled temporary tradeshow space showcasing some 90,000 net square feet of innovative and emerging gift and home décor resources. Within Pavilions is the newly-created Discoveries - The Antique Vintage Marketplace - is a key component of the repositioning and reimagining of the Market's temporary exhibits. Summer marks a celebration of the Market's 10-year anniversary, the creation of C11 - a new showroom floor for gourmet housewares, tabletop and specialty food, as well as the continuing growth of C5, another new permanent showroom floor for boutique home décor, high-end home textiles and accessories. Summer Market will premiere a dedicated casual furniture venue, with 250,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on the 12th and 13th floors in Building C devoted to the casual/outdoor category.
