Italian company Rapsel, specialized in manufacturing of bath, has been awarded with ELLE, designed by Matteo Nunziati, the Good Design Award 2011 of Athenaeum/Museum of Architecture and Design, Chicago, in the Bath and Accesories category. ELLE is a bathroom unit that serves a host of different functions. It is washbasin, tabletop, towel holder and storage space all rolled into one. Crafted from the synthetic material Hanex , the high quality washbasin has ample aesthetic appeal. It really does tick all the boxes when it comes to ease of cleaning, hygiene and durability. At first glance, the washbasin is stunningly modern in design with its eye-catching flat surface on one side. The lateral positioning of the waste pipe – either on the right of the left side - means that the central area provides ample space for storage that can take the form of shelving or drawers – as desired. Elle is a floor-mounted washbasin unit that represents an excellent cost/benefit ratio. While ultra-simple in design, it has carefully thought-out details and a perfectly conceived technical specification. ELLE comes in several standard measurements, as single or double version. The taps can be wall mounted or on the lavabo. There is also a matching mirror which completes the programme. Rapsel website
