A total of 40,854 professionals from 79 countries visited the Intergift, Bisutex and Madridjoya Trade Fairs, hosted by IFEMA from the 5 to 9 February, with the participation of 1,400 international brands and companies specialising in Decoration, Gifts, Jewellery, Fashion Jewellery and Accessories. This joint event turned Madrid into the great showcase of new products and trends for the 2020 Spring-Summer season.
A special event thanks to the high qualifications and to the high decision power of the visitors, which was also product of the International and National Guest Program, which this time saw 400 Major Purchasers from 43 countries. Thus, it reinforces its drawing power and its leadership on the Iberian Peninsula.
Design was one of the main protagonists at Intergift, the International Gift and Decoration Fair which, as each February edition, brought together the elite of the decorating world in the “Textile Editors” and “Interior Design Solutions” area. To be highlighted is the increase in attendance by decorators, architects and interior designers, which made up over 19% of the total visitors at the Fair. Some of the most renowned names in the industry were in attendance, such as Ignacio Alegría; Virginia Albuja; Inés Benavides; Manuel Espejo; Gonzalo García; Guille García Hoz; Virginia Guasch; Rosabel Gutiérrez; José Lara; Pepe Leal; Raúl Martins; Sylvia Melián; Randolph; Adriana Nicolau; Virginia Nieto; Fabián Níguez; Jean Porche; Inma Recio; Adriana Samoza; Virginia Sánchez; Nuria Sancho; Beatriz Silveira; Caridad Tercero; Silvia Trigueros; Rosa Urbano; Rafael Urrutia, among others.
A total of 737 companies and brands from 20 countries participated in this edition of Intergift to promote and market their new collections for the upcoming season. Over 40,000 square metres of exhibition have made it the largest reference in the world for decoration and gifts on the Iberian Peninsula.
At the same time, Bisutex, the International Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Fair, hosted 500 companies and brands from 17 countries, presenting to the sector the trends for the next months and new collections for the special events celebrated at this time, such as Valentine's Day, weddings, christenings and communions.
The trade fair, held in Hall 4 at Feria de Madrid, provided industry professionals with the widest offer in fashion jewellery, as well as numerous lines of whimsical watches, sunglasses, handbags, belts, hair accessories, scarves, hats and small leather goods, as well as the latest in travel articles, with the new collections of suitcases, handbags and other products for the new campaign.
MadridJoya, on the other hand, again brought together the jewellery sector around a professional and strategic event that is unique in Spain, hosting 143 companies from 10 countries and national and international brands of high-end jewellery, casual and fashion lines, watches and silver.
Professionals also found a discussion forum at the Speaker's Corner that hosted a varied programme of conferences, presentations and round tables where the keys and tools to promote and improve business activity were analysed. A total of 22 presentations, with the participation of 550 attendees.
The next edition of Intergift will be held from the 2 to 6 September, and Bisutex and Madridjoya will open their doors from the 3 to 6 September, at IFEMA
