Shortlist announced for awards to the best designed Restaurants and Bars of 2016/2017
Awards for the best designed restaurants and bars in the world, the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards announced the shortlist from the 2016/2017 entries. Among selected, we find seven Spanish restaurants & bars.
The shortlist includes 265 projects across 33 categories from the world's leading architects, interior designers, lighting designers and hospitality operators. Now in its ninth year, the 2017 awards received 943 submissions from the UK and 70 other countries. You can view the Shortlist HERE.
Among international categories, we find up to seven Spanish restaurants/bars selected as finalists. At the “Best Europe Restaurant” category there are three of them: “Bibo” in Madrid by Lázaro Rosa Violán, “Juanalaloca” in Madrid by Isabel López Vilalta+Asociados and “Noor” in Córdoba by ggarchitects.

At the “Best European Bar” category we find the “Pershïc” space in Bilbao by Verno. At the “Ceiling“ category is finalist the “Bellasvista Jardín del Norte“ restaurant in Barcelona by El Equipo Creativo. The “Pop-Up” category has selected the space created for ArcoMadrid 2016 by Izaskun Chinchilla and at the “Colour” category we find El Mama restaurant in Barcelona designed, again, by El Equipo Creativo.

Finally highlight the two nominations obtained by the Studio Lagranja Design in two spaces outside Spanish borders, the “FOC Sentosa“ in Singapore in the “Outside” category and “The Populist” in Turkey in the “Best European Bar” category.
