Stone Designs, one of the most versatile, multidisciplinary and renowned design and interior design studios on the national and international scene, has designed the Funicamp building, the “base camp” located in Pas de la Casa (Andorra) that gives access to the Grandvalira station ski.
Its chromatic game and disposition gives way to a colorful and optimistic space capable of generating endorphins, even without having begun to exercise. The study sums up,
The love for snow and nature has taken us back to Grandvalira (Andorra) with a new project, the Funicamp building. There, we have designed the reception, lockers, shop and a restaurant with three different gastronomic offers.
The base camp has always been the reference point from where any mountaineer begins his dream. The place from which we look up bending our neck, valuing that variable that always terrifies us of effort versus satisfaction. Mountains have always haD that irrational magnetism that all of us that love it cannot control.
The Funicamp building, somehow represents that basecamp. That place where everything starts, that gives us access to that dream and experiences factory that the mountain is. It is the welcoming building to a magical place, in which comparing it to that base camp, we do nothing else but to enlarge an absolutely fascinating place as our beloved mountain.
