Construction lamp designed by Joost van Bleiswijk for Moooi brand

Inspired by the vast number of combinations possible with the tools and bolts present in his giant workshop, Joost van Bleiswijk started playing with them and ended up constructing and creating a new, exciting design, the Construction lamp for Moooi company. This item together with other novelties can be seen during the London Design Festival, from the 16th until the 22nd September 2013, at the Moooi London showroom.

The Construction lamp ultimately originates from a bright curiosity combined with expert skills, industrial tools and a touch of playful passion for vintage construction toys.

As a result, the lamp's details and joints take the shape of Victorian cast iron components & become part of a base that resembles a traditional electricity pole.
