Carmen Barasona introduces CARMELA, an elegant and complete avant-garde set inspired in public transport seats from the 60's.

ECUS, a pioneer corporation in bedding sector, amazes us with ICON, an exclusive catalogue with sofas and armchairs designed by worldwide famous designers such as: Tomás Alia, Calamita Systems, Moneo Brock, Requena y Plaza, Teresa Sapey and Carmen Barasona.

ICON displays a complete set of pieces of furniture thanks to the inspiration and creativity of some influential designers in our country. The collection is perfect for those who seek personality in their rooms and contract projects where up-to-date and reliable furniture is needed.

This time, from her studio in Barcelona, the multi faceted designer created CARMELA where multi layered structures are highlighted, naturally fitting with the philosophy behind ICON: comfortable pieces of furniture that convey a calm well-being.

Thus, Barasona meets ECUS’ demands and sketches furniture that unites personal well-being and architectural spaces. Barasona's creativity and savoir-faire is undeniable.

Keeping with the surprising and versatile profile of ICON, CARMELA has an armchair, sofa, pouf and chair. Added to this, when it comes to mix fabrics, colours, thousands of possibilities are at hand. Barasona proposes elegant fabrics, and when combining two shades, the furniture chosen turns into a fresh and stunning piece of furniture that catches everybody's eyes.

In a collection such as this one, every single detail is carefully thought, and when it comes to CARMELA one can feel the thoroughness that the designer put in the project. The back stitches of the back upholstery even match the front face of the furniture.

In addition, the legs are made of oak and ash trees and they have silver or golden caps, this is up to the client, to enhance the elegant of the product. Other options are available such as lime green or turquoise lacquering to match the fabric of the sofa.
