Colourful flashes that blend harmoniously with the sophistication of the furniture
Lara de la Mata and Daniel Povedano from Deleite Design show us an interior design where light and colour are the main protagonists in this flat in Méndez Álvaro (Madrid). A comprehensive renovation project in which the interior designers show all their potential and creativity.
The project arises from the need to adopt a new building for a young client who wants to leave behind detached homes to achieve her own space adapted to her taste.
To this end, the aim is to provide more metres to the main bedroom, incorporate a dressing room and especially furnish the whole house. The first step would be to convert a three-bedroom flat into a two-bedroom one, to gain more square meters that would be destined to both the main bedroom and the dressing room.
In the main room, and to continue favouring the passage of light to the dressing room, a green cupboard is incorporated as a room divider. It does not reach the ceiling so as not to interrupt the continuity of the space. The room thus becomes an explosion of colour through the wardrobe itself, the wallpaper, the textiles and the bed headboard and curtains. Everything is tailor-made for this project.
The lamps on the Ethincraft bedside tables are designed by the Deleite Design team, with this, theyadd a personal touch to both the space and the project.
On the other hand, the guest room is converted into a teleworking space. Customised oak furniture is incorporated, and the wall is wallpapered with an amusing pattern of black and white tones.
The other space where Lara and Daniel's work is focused in the living room and kitchen. The latter was initially a dark and closed place, to alleviate this a window is opened to the living room to which a bar is added.
On this same wall, in the living room, Deleite Design opts for a mural in white and grey tones, decorated with a landscape that does not condition the rest of the decoration, but rather enhances it. This is where the large TV cabinet, by the Valencian firm Momocca, is located. A wooden Adara sideboard with the beautiful detail of the grooved doors with Dekton by Cosentino on the surface. It has been configured in light tones, which serve as a link with the Exo coffee table by Kendo Mobiliario. This space of select furniture is complemented by the String shelf and the Dual vases.
The touch of colour is provided by the blue velvet sofa, which is lowered with the rest of the finishes, woods and soft colours.
The creativity in its purest form shows us how the perfect study of light and colour can be what makes the difference in a project.
