A bridge connecting designers with brands and producers from around the world of design. This resumes the mission of O-cults, young and dynamic Catalan collective born in 2012 in Barcelona, which chooses Italy as a new point of reference for their innovative platform.

This decision arrives as a consequence of the positive reaction and great interest resulting of the participation of O-cults in Milan's Design Week, in the creative district of Ventura Lambrate, and also resultant from closing a very important distribution agreement with an exclusive store in Milan, dedicated to the most famous design brands. Diffusion in the Italian territory will be managed by Labóh, a consulting services studio based in Italy and Spain.

“O-cults lands in Italy and offers to their emerging designers, who can apply now in our website www.o-cults.com, a concept that is already successful in Spain and that is now delivering results fruit of a year-long work”, says Alex Bosch, one of its founders. O-cults aims to promote the best young talents in the field of design, getting them in touch with international producers, editors and distributors, generating new business opportunities both for designers and companies with which collaboration is established.

“We believe that, especially in a moment like this - continues Bosch - one of the key factors of success is represented by networking and exchange between those who, like us, believe in a new focus for the world of design”.

Bring culture and business together, one of the pillars of O-cults, philosophy with which Labóh relates to, offering design companies and professionals communication services, business development, start-up support and opening of new markets. “This focus is in perfect harmony with our values - says Miriam Giordano from Labóh - and because of these reasons we’ve decided to represent O-cults in Italy with the promotion of their network and initiatives immediately aimed at achieving competitive advantages for all related parts, both for designers and companies”.

O-cults, from now on in Italy, and also from Italy will promote through their platform new generations of designers, helping them overcome the obstacles existing between industrial production and the implemented project, and will offer support and professional advice on every aspect related to issues such as intellectual property and royalties.

The activity of O-cults, which also addresses to industrial design, architecture and graphic design studios interested in product design and in a stage of development and expansion, is dedicated to the creation of design contests, events to present projects and their diffusion through the media, the organization of workshops and channeling specific projects from international design brands between affiliated designers.

Among other activities, during the past few months, O-cults has been involved in the project FRESH*, promoting self-edited products from their designers inside Roomservice design gallery, in Barcelona, and has started the production of the first three products designed by members of the platform and that will be distributed under the brand of O-cults.

Winning products of the “Product edition Contest” by Brots + O|CULTS which took place last April, were presented last Saturday July 27, at Brots gallery, in Camallera. Furthermore, the team is currently working in the preparation of new open-call contests that will be addressed to members of the collective, starting September.
