ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Copenhagen organize a technical conference and exhibition to show the Spanish design for habitat, within the framework of the 3 Days of Design event in Copenhagen. The exhibition entitled “Spanish in Danish“, which will include the designs of nine brands, will be open to the public from May 24 to 25 in a palace in the Danish capital, the Odd Fellow Palace.
The knowledge of Spanish interior design in Denmark is limited and with this exhibition ICEX seeks to make it known in situ to the Danish public. The exhibition “Spanish in Danish” has been based on the desire to show Spanish products and welcome them in a Danish architectural context.
The exhibition is curated by the Danish architect and designer, Eva Harlou, CEO and founder of Earth Studio. Eva Harlou has created an installation with materials from the company Egernsund Tegl, in which the Spanish designs are shown. With her vision as a designer and architect, she will help to link Danish architecture with Spanish designs as inspiration for interior design projects in hotels, restaurants, offices and the contract market in general.
“Spanish in Danish” has been based on the desire to show Spanish products and welcome them in a Danish scenario. In this sense, the curator notes that “a poetic meeting has been created between the exquisite Spanish furniture and the classic Danish red brick“. She also explains that the products will be exhibited “in a large brick staircase in which the Spanish meets the Danish and where very different brands are located side by side, shoulder to shoulder.”
The Spanish companies Mobles 114, Vondom, Akaba, Sancal, Isimar and Capdell - many of them internationally accredited - will exhibit Spanish furniture, colorful, aesthetic and functional, with a timeless spirit. In addition to the furniture design, you can also enjoy rugs by Dac Rugs, the Huguet tiles and the incomparable lamps by LZF.
