Pedrali furniture contribute s to creating the magic atmosphere of the restaurant and the cafeteria inside Franco Maria Ricci cultural park

Labirinto della Masone in Fontanellato (PR), an elegant and charming twenty-acre cultural par, is the largest labyrinth in existence. It is entirely made with bamboo plants and it is an original path for losing oneself in, for fantasising and reflecting. Inside the labyrinth, designed by the publisher and designer Franco Maria Ricci together with the architects Pier Carlo Bontempi and Davide Dutto, there are a museum, a library, areas for temporary exhibitions and Franco Maria Ricci publishing house.

As told by Franco Maria Ricci: “I first dreamed of building a Labyrinth around thirty years ago. On several occasions back then, in my country house outside Parma, I played host to a friend and valued contributor in the publishing house had I founded: Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges. It is a well - known fact that the Labyrinth was one of his favourite themes. And the paths traced by the hesitant footfalls of the blind writer as he walked around me, made me think of the uncertainty of those who move in the midst o f forks in the path and enigmas . The story goes that when Minos had his Labyrinth (which was a prison) built, his intentions were cruel and dark: I imagined a softer equivalent, one which was also a garden in which people could stroll and lose themselves from time to time without running any risks”.

Not only are there several activities related to the world of art and culture, but also recreational and leisure ones. In fact, Labirinto della Masone hosts the restaurant, the cafeteria and the Bottega all run by Massimo Spigaroli, a Michelin-starred chef from the local area who interprets in a very personal way the tradition of Italian and more specifically Parma cuisine, together with Rocco Stabellini. The spaces are characterized by a cozy atmosphere where the attention to detail prevails. In this context, Pedrali furniture fits perfectly and best represents style and comfort.

Tivoli armchairs, designed by Cazzaniga, Mandelli and Pagliarulo, were chosen for the restaurant of Labirinto della Masone. The armchair clean design recalls the traditional wood seats, perfectly integrating the present structural elements, while maintaining comfort and inspiring conviviality. The harmonious environment of the restaurant is designed for whoever wants to have lunch or dinner in an elegant and refined place, in full respect of tradition.

Instead, the café of the labyrinth is designed for those wishing a moment of rest and refreshment during the visit. The selected furniture is young and fresh, as well as the mood of the cafeteria: fast and for everyone. Here visitors can enjoy some simple dishes accompanied by a glass of wine, or just have drink or a coffee, comfortably seated under the porches. Volt chairs, with their thin and linear features, distinguish themselves for the unique attention to detail, while the tables from Ypsilon collection, designed by Jorge Pensi, are light and at the same time resistant, basically the ideal solution for an outdoor area.

Lastly, the Modus collection of upholstered modular seats makes the indoor space décor look complete.
