Seen at Masion&Objet: The new rug collection Hybrid by CTRLZAK for Seletti

Seletti, the most pop and ironic Italian design brand has once again chosen Paris to begin their 2017 exhibition tour. At Maison&Objet the brand showcased its many new products, as the new rug collection Hybrid, designed by CTRLZAK.

When East and West meet they do not always merge. Sometimes they embrace keeping each its own culture and style but creating something new and unusual.

Hybrid is the tableware collection - in glass and bone china - where eastern and western decor meet creating distinctive plates, glasses and cups. Each piece is made of two different halves joint together creating a harmonic yet contrasting effect in colours, patterns and shapes.

3 round rugs with a diameter of 196cm, each divided into two parts celebrating geometric and floral decorations belonging to the Western and Eastern tradition.

Hybrid rugs, a contemporary version of ancient tapestries, are made in recycled Polyester, a material which is both sustainable and up-to-date allowing state-of-the-art graphic design still keeping the products accessible.

Hybrid rugs keep exploring the concepts of the tableware collection becoming eclectic icons to be displayed even in the most minimalistic environments.
