Contemporary contract furniture designer and manufacturer, Isomi, will launch the Mono Collection at 100% Design in London this September, made with the unique Solid Surface HI-MACS®. The collection comprises of thermoformed desks, seating and media units, designed by Paul Crofts with the architect, designer and contractor firmly in mind. An ensemble of modular elements seamlessly fused into one product, Croft’s design takes advantage of the highly practical and aesthetic features of the Solid Surface material HI-MACS®. HI-MACS® many properties enabled the designer to create the seamless, highly durable, impact resistant finish, which makes his furniture ideal for hard-working reception areas in public and private spaces, like offices, hotels, airports, stadia and stations. Designer, Paul Crofts, comments, ‘My aim for the Mono Collection is for it to be specified in the same way designer furniture and lighting is usually specified - as part of the fit-out for a reception space. Providing a solution for time or budget pressed architects and interior designers, we are offering a finished product that has gone through extensive prototyping and refining processes that are rarely possible for a one-off piece of furniture. HI-MACS® achieves many of its practical, durable and aesthetic advantages because it is a natural stone material set in an acrylic matrix. This allows it to be thermoformed to any 3D shape and joined so that it is visually seamless, it is also impervious and non-porous so that it can be cleaned and maintained with ease to offer a highly hygienic surface.
