Looking to broaden its professional audience while continuing to meet exhibitors’ expectations for networking and business development opportunities, MAISON&OBJET PARIS is once again upgrading the trade fair experience by bringing innovative concepts and practical solutions to the upcoming January show. Industry professionals will find a rich and inspiring visitor experience and exhibitors will enjoy the updated layout, which will allow them to reach new markets.

Spotting highlights at a glance

A place to meet, share, do business and find inspiration, trade fairs are an opportunity to gain better understanding of the market and the competition, to discover today's trends and anticipate tomorrow's. With the rise of multichannel marketing, visitors expect an inspiring and tangible experience, one that justifies travelling a long way to attend the fair.

That is why, in addition to the Inspirations Forum (Hall 7), which has provided forward-looking insight into the industry for years, MAISON&OBJET PARIS will now be offering a quick overview of the season's highlights with a What's New! exhibit in each of M&O's MAISON and OBJET Hubs (Halls 3 & 6).

Enjoying an optimised layout

In order to bring more visibility to retailers, MAISON&OBJET PARIS continues its methodical efforts to spotlight exhibitors, with greater integration of fabrics and home textile brands into the COSY & ELEGANT sectors, and a specific focus on the KIDS sector.

In order to meet the needs of specifiers working on the contract market, the MAISON&OBJET PARIS team have also worked on achieving greater synergy between the Halls more specifically targeted to contract professionals: ACTUEL & INFLUENCES.

Rolling out MAISON&OBJET AND MORE

A new strategic step in its digital strategy, MAISON&OBJET PARIS launches the MAISON&OBJET AND MORE (MOM) platform: mom.maison-objet.com.

With a strong presence on Facebook (273 370 fans) and Instagram (122 000 subscribers), the fair has innovated once more and launched a new research and networking tool for an all-yearround MAISON&OBJET experience.

The event, the social networks pages and the new digital platform complement each other to create a whole ecosystem of business opportunities, ongoing conversations and new contacts.

As soon as it launched in September 2016, MOM offered MAISON&OBJET's professional community the chance to find a selection of over 15,000 products. Referenced by brand and product type, each item is presented with all relevant technical specifications and several pictures, along with the contact details of its supplier. In an economic context where exhibitors and visitors are pursuing efficiency and return on investment, this new service can be used as a lever for growth. A complementary experience to the event, MOM provides a new solution for maintaining exhibitor visibility in between shows. It is also a tool for finding inspiration and keeping up to date all year long. With over 17,000 products featured on the platform, MOM captures the whole MAISON&OBJET PARIS experience and delivers it online.

Hundreds of surprising material samples and a team of experts are available for on-site consultations.

    • French design in demand worldwide

With the will to bring together all sectors of the lifestyle industry and their professionals, and define a French touch identity in the furnishing industry, MAISON&OBJET PARIS has formed a partnership with the the community of French furniture manufacturers (UNIFA) - one of the goals being to enhance the community gathered around the sectorspecific brand of French furniture.

A decision made even more relevant by the study carried out by VIA (French organisation promoting innovation in the furniture industry), which concluded that while people can easily describe the Italian, German, Scandinavian or Japanese styles in design, the same cannot be said of the French style, which is often eclectic and mixes influences and references. As a result, after interviewing 40 design, fashion, manufacturing, art and communication professionals to assess their vision of French design, VIA and UNIFA have identified a dozen values characteristic to French design: a sense of balance, the combination of creativity and industrial know-how, boldness and flamboyance, lifestyle, elegance, heritage and cultural openness, a dash of luxury, unique savoir-faire, etc. In order to convey these values, which have made the French furniture industry what it is, UNIFA and VIA have initiated an international travelling exhibition to be launched in 2017, with a clear message for all: “No taste for bad taste”!

    • A foretaste of good taste

MAISON&OBJET PARIS will unveil a preview of its French Design, no taste for bad taste operation by showcasing the products of twenty-six exhibitors, members of the French Furniture community.
