The 13th edition of Light Middle East was held in the Convention and Exhibition shopping centre of Dubai, and hosted more than 300 exhibitors who presented their latest solutions and developments in lighting design, architecture and interior design.
During the three successful days of the event, Spanish company Luxiona exhibited different and innovative Troll designs such as the Luxcan C, Brim and Microlinear, among others, as well as the Eva, Mondrian and Waterproof luminaires by Metalarte.
It is worth mentioning that, during the gala dinner attended by more than 600 people from around the world, the “Light Middle East Awards 2018” awards were held, where Eva, the Metalarte luminaire, designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán, was the absolute winner in the category “decorative table lamp of the year”.
The award-winning luminaire Eva has been a great satisfaction for Luxiona Group, since it has meant recovering a style of pieces that gave the firm international recognition back in the 70s. The Corporate General Director of Luxiona Group, Javier Santafe, collected this valuable award at the ceremony and expressed his gratitude to Lázaro Rosa-Violán for Eva's creation as a World Class artist with Metalarte.
Additionally, the Luxiona stand was also visited by Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktum, current Prime Minister and Vice President of the Arab Emirates, a perfect opportunity for presenting first-hand the Luxiona Group.
The Light Middle East fair has become the biggest event of the year in the lighting sector, an essential appointment for Luxiona to raise awareness on its products and developments in the Middle East.
