Over 1,200 national and international companies and brands participated in this edition, taking up eight Halls at IFEMA
On the 10 February the trade fairs Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya closed their doors at IFEMA, having recorded attendance by a total of 41,013 professionals from77 countries. Especially significant was the international reach of these events, with a 20% increase in the number of foreign visitors, compared to the previous year.
The International Purchasers Program was also a success, with the participation of over 400 Major Purchasers from 50 countries, which contributed to the promotion, revitalisation and internationalisation of the participating companies.
Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya were located in halls 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Feria de Madrid, with the participation of over 1,200 national and international companies and brands, offering professionals their latest collections for the 2019 Spring-Summer season in the segments of decoration, gifts, fashion jewellery and fashion accessories, as well as jewellery, watches and ancillary industries.
These trade fairs also coincided with Momad - Moda en Madrid-, which in addition to generating important synergies, contributed to creating the major global event for trends, fashion and consumer goods.
The world of interior design visits Intergift
The world of interior design came together at Intergift, with the presence of renowned designers, architects and interior designers such as Miriam and Nuria Alía, Silvia Melian Randolph, Virginia Gasch, Virginia Albuja, Erico Navazo, Raúl Martins, Jean Porsche, Beatriz Silveira, Esther Sánchez Lastra, Paz González Ortega, Cristina Domínguez,Estefanía Carrero, Guille García-Hoz, Julián Gallego, Nacho de la Vega, Laura Carrillo and María Aguilar de Carrillo, Inma Recio and Silvia Trigueros from Ele Room 62 and As Interiorista and Paloma Pacheco, among others.
Added to this are the extraordinary results of the `Textile editors` area, with the participation of over 120 international leading brands in textile designs, wallpaper and wall coatings. This edition also saw for the first time the area “Interior design solutions”, which presented the latest in solutions and materials for residential decoration and the contract channel, becoming the best showcase for the decoration elite.
Intergift, occupying halls 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 at IFEMA, showed the most comprehensive perspective of decoration proposals and trends, as well as thousands of innovative ideas in gift items, with the participation of 683 companies and brands from 17 countries. The Trade Show proved itself to be the largest reference in the decoration and gift industry in Spain, exceeding 40,000 square metres of exhibition space.
Special mention goes to the success of the24 sessions of the Speakers´ Corner at Intergift, which brought together over 650 attendees. These conferences offered professionals interesting guidelines and tools for them to stay up-to-date in trends, consumer habits and other essential information to improve the commercial activity of their business. Among other content there were several talks and workshops such as How to generate results for your online store; Marketplace: the key to maximising your business; How to sell more through Social Media; 10 powerful words to win over your customers’ hearts, or the workshop on Floral decoration at major events: Wedding at the Palacio de Liria.
The activities ended with the conference Hotels & Retail Design, which sold out and informed 130 attendees. The event included presentations by renowned hotel chains such as NH Hotel Group, Radisson Hotel Group, Jean Porsche Arquitectura +Interiores, PF1 Interiorismo, Alejandra Pombo estudio de interiorismo, Marketing-Jazz, María Villalón Studio, Alfaro-Manrique Atelier, Oopen Studio and Sonia Pedregal Interior Design.
In this edition, design was once again one of the main features, with various presentations in the halls by the Madrid Design School coordinated by Andrea Blanco and Aitor Viteri, and two more projects by students of the Master's in Commercial Areas of the Madrid Higher Design School, coordinated by the professor Romina Barbieri.
Increased energy and a good professional environment at Bisutex
The latest in fashion jewellery and fashion accessories was showcased at Bisutex, which once again proved the innovative and creative capabilities of this industry, with over 400 companies and brands. The Trade Fair, held in Hall 4 in an increasingly dynamic area with a good professional environment, showed attendees the new collections for this year’s special occasions, such as Valentine’s Day, weddings, christenings and first communions. In addition to the widest range in fashion jewellery, there were numerous lines of whimsical watches, sunglasses, handbags, belts, hair accessories, scarves, hats and small leather goods. The Fair also introduced the latest in Travel articles, with the new collections of suitcases, handbags and other products for the Spring-Summer campaign.
This industry reference event in Spain also had an area for the promotion of young designers and brands with the Minis by Bisutex, which this year were represented by 49 companies from Andorra, Spain, the United States, Italy and Portugal.
Highly qualified professionals at MadridJoya
MadridJoya again brought together the jewellery sector at a professional event that is unique in Spain, aimed at the campaign for christening, first communion, wedding and other celebrations such as Mothers’ Day, with the participation of 140 companies and brands from Germany, Spain, France, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Turkey.
The next edition of Intergift will take place from 11 to 15 September, and Bisutex and Madrid Joya from 12 to 15 September, in the Halls at Feria de Madrid
