Gandia Blasco new collections at the Milan Design Week

Spanish company Gandia Blasco will be participating at the upcoming edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, introducing new products for the outdoor collections: the Wallpaper* Design Awards winner TROPEZ collection design by Stefan Diez, and FLAT design by Mario Ruiz. In Outdoor spaces, MÓDULOS collection design by José A. Gandía-Blasco.

This year GANDIABLASCO has comitted to the talent and fresh ideas of young creative designers, YOUNG TALENTS with Textile design by Ana Llobet, Arumi design by Emmanuel Gardin and DozeQuinze design by Francesco Silliti.

Tropez Collection. Design by Stefan Diez

Stefan Diez “Tropez considers the world of outdoor furniture in a light-hearted and unpretentious way; much like a lacewing bird would land in a garden with ease. A line very much defined by its casual aspects and flexibility, inspired by the world of sports from the 20's and 30's - using a language we know from elegant sailing boats and handcrafted tennis rackets. Tropez is bringing the comfort of interior furniture to the outdoors. Its platform construction based on an extruded aluminium profile allows various elements to be interchanged, offering a great level of flexibility. This “légère” character can draw a special identity on architectural and non-architectural landscapes.”

This collection won the 2013 Wallpaper * Design Awards.

Made of thermo-lacquered aluminium profiles and porcelain plate.

Removable fabric cover: wide variety of colors.
This extensive collection comprises several pieces, including a bed, chaise lounge, armchair, sofa and modular sofas, poufs, high and low tables, a stool and benches.

Flat Collection. Design by Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz “Flat, is a collection of outdoor furniture that we designed for GANDIABLASCO in 2006. It has been so successful, that five years later we are still adding new items. It's a well-balanced, flexible collection; an essentially formal concept with light and airy structures in which fabric plays an important part. At a time when competition in the outdoor furniture world is fierce and many collections are showing a complicated approach aesthetically, Flat does not. Perhaps that's what makes it so popular - it's something the end consumer can appreciate. Although the range has won many awards, the real proof of its success is that people like it so much, especially at times like this.”

This collection has been recognized by Wallpaper and Md magazines and has received the prestigious Red Dot Design award.

Atlantic Collection. Design by José A. Gandía-Blasco

José A. Gandía-Blasco “The Atlantic Collection is manufactured with a new technological material, 100% recyclable and exclusive of GANDIABLASCO. This material,“NOWOOD”, mixes natural and plastic fibers to make a product that combines the best properties of both. The particular blend of these materials gives the product a warm texture similar to wood“.

Made of anodized aluminium or thermo-lacquered aluminium profiles and NOWOOD.
Available colors: anodized, white and bronze.
Offered in a variety of pieces: chaise lounge, chaise lounge table, chair, armchair, sofa and modular sofas, poufs, high and low tables, benches and high and low stools.

Textile. Design by Ana Llobet

Ana Llobet: “This project, inspired by fashion, has allowed me to apply techniques used with textiles to the world of furniture design. The joints of the chair are “sewn” together, to mimic clothing seams, while providing the chair a very ergonomic and unique design. The collection has an element of flexibility and will offer everyone “the perfect fit”.

Made of 100% recyclable polyethylene and powder coated galvanized iron. The braided rope is high tenacity polyester.
Frame colors: White, Sand and Bronze
Rope colors: White, Gray, Black, Sand, Brown, Burgundy, Green, Navy and Blue.

Arumi. Design by Emmanuel Gardin

Emmanuel Gardin: “It's a simple story - one born from a metamorphosis desire. The Arumi modules can be positioned as a high or low coffee/side table depending on the direction that it's rotated. An individual module or multiple modules placed together will form an exquisite and unique table in any outdoor space.”

Made of Powder coated aluminum.

DozeQuinze. Design by Francesco Silliti

Francesco Silliti: “DozeQuinze is a project that was inspired from the observation of the thick cable connections in the city of Sao Paulo. DozeQuinze is a line of furniture which transposes the characteristic element transmitting to each object a unique and distinct character.”

Made of powder coated galvanized steel tube and rubber bands.
Available colors: white, sand and black.

New Gandia Blasco collections can be seen at the Salone del Mobile, in a space located in Hall 20, Stand B01/C06, also they will be displayed at Agape ashowroom, in Via Statuto, 12 Milan.
