WHAT's IN CARMENES BOOTH
At Carmenes booth visitors can explore the different settings offered by each of the three new series of sofas. An atmosphere that changes with each step and that will certainly capture the imagination those who explore the Afrika, Diam and Monroe series further. In the words of Luis Ignacio Sánchez, Executive Director of Carmenes, “the booth offers a tour of these creations, in small appearances, that accompany our daily existence and express the creative force of our company“.
By adding the experience of Perobell, and through the constant work with widely-acclaimed design companies such as Figueras, Carmenes understands design as part of contemporary culture. Carmenes collaboration with renowned designers has produced and will continue to produce pieces that combine comfort, beauty, common sense and formal rigor. Carmenes has always placed great belief in independent design when developing a catalogue where great contemporary designers such as Lievore Altherr Molina, Jorge Pensi, Lluís Codina, Mathias Hoffmann and Hector Diego enjoy a unique platform from which to offer their current and future designs.
Inside the factory
“Our designs are traversed by a continuous renewal of techniques, materials and resources, and also by the adaptation to new technologies along with the coexistence of classical and avant-garde. This booth attests the internationalization of expressive language and the increasing contribution of our company to a universe in constant demand of new aesthetic stimuli”, explains the Carmenes Executive Director.
Carmenes aims to become a major player that ensures the visibility of its products while acting as springboard for young designers, “offering through its design programs a complete freedom of expression and maximum flexibility when planning the seating within any space worldwide“, concludes Luis Ignacio Sánchez. Carmenes is a family whose members, from the designer who traces the first outline of what later becomes a seating element, to the person who loads the trucks, including the purchase of materials, the selection of fabrics, ironwork, upholstery, sales reps and product developers, are all proud to be able to present pieces which carry individual names and surnames.
