Beach air mattresses of 70s inspire Emanuele Magini to design Blow, the daybed of Gufram

Remaining loyal to the innovative and cheeky spirit that has been the hallmark of its output for more than 40 years, Gufram presents Blow, a daybed that reinterprets in a contemporary manner the radical design that the brand has contributed to developing, supporting, and exporting around the world.

Blow, which is reminiscent of the reassuring archetypical shapes of 1970s beach air mattresses, brings inside your home a holiday feeling that can last all year long.

With projects such as Blow, Gufram confirms its will to continue its research into forms and materials, not only by updating Italian design icons, but also by exploring new collaborations with contemporary designers. In this case, the brand has entrusted Emanuele Magini, who is among the most promising Italian designers of the new generation, and who can already boast about his noteworthy collaborations with furniture companies.

Supported by four minimal legs in tubular aluminum, the structure is in polyurethane foam. Waterborn, an innovative fabric made by the Danish company Kvadrat, has been used for the lining. This decision was borne out of the constant research for state-of-the-art products: Waterborn is noticeable for the easy way in which it can be worked, combined with manufacturing features based on sustainability, given that in its making 70% of water and 35% of CO2 are saved in comparison with normal microfiber fabrics.
