Nuno lamp collection designed by Nendo for Vibia. When light is dressed with linen

On the occasion of Euroluce, the International Biennial of Lighting 2013, VIBIA presented Nuno as one of its new series of proposals which confirm one more time its innovative vision for decorative lighting. Nuno has been designed by Japanese studio Nendo.

Delicate layers of linen (‘nuno’ means ‘fabric’ in Japanese) cover the surface of a screen and create a lighting fixture for interiors characterized by complexly gorgeous textures which produce a warm light effect.

NUNO is Nendo's first collection for VIBIA and it expresses the designer's passion for natural materials and levity, both in decoration and lighting. NUNO includes six different pendant lighting fixtures, two table models and two standing luminaries.

The game of fabric layers generates a tonal gamma of up to 24 grades of shades, whereas the shape and design create a richly heterogeneous surface, with a particular softness. The result is an ethereal lighting fixture, which renovates the concept of lighting, combining oriental, minimalist and abstract elements.

Bringing out new concepts of interior and outdoor luminaries, the Spanish brand Vibia latest collections allow objects, light and space to integrate into each new design.
