This versatile range designed by Alegre Design has adjustable lumbar support and a height-adjustable backrest whose ergonomic curve ensures user comfort and well-being

The Trim chair, designed by Alegre Design for Actiu, won a German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design - Office Furniture category. This award is recognition of this model´s design qualities, that places well-being above all else, with adjustable lumbar support and a height-adjustable backrest whose ergonomic curve ensures user comfort and well-being in workspaces.

The German Design Awards are a benchmark in the product design industry as it is the German Design Council itself that chooses the products for the short list and eventual winners, after professional and impartial analysis. An international competition with projects from all over the world.

This operational chair offers extensive customisation options, with three types of backrests as well as different finishes and colours. So, thanks to its ergonomics and its comfortable backrest, it can equip large workspaces used by people of all ages carrying out all types of roles. Its technical qualities enable adjusting each chair to the body and each person's needs, whether in a conventional workspace, in a home office or in a coworking space. Its design allows the user to feel good and be more productivewherever he/she is.

“Workspaces are constantly evolving. Tasks, areas and roles become blurred or intertwine depending on the stage the project is at. But ergonomics and looking after people, their comfort and well-being is fundamental. Trim offers all that, together with a friendly and fresh, completely customisable aesthetic. This German Design Award is recognition of all the qualities of this design”, explains Actiu´s Advisor and Director of Brand Strategy, Soledad Berbegal.

This design aimed at professional and operational environments has three models: one with a plastic laminate backrest, one with a mesh backrest and one with Tex upholstery. “Trim´s texture, designed using highly durable plastic laminate, creates a mesh which supports the back and improves ventilation, making long days at work easier and improving user well-being”, explains Marcelo Alegre, from the Alegre Design studio, designer of Trim.

This operational chair fits in organically in flexible as well as static environments, offering extensive customisation options, from textures, finishes and a wide variety of colours designed to connect with work spaces.
