The new exhibition space is located along the city's route of architects and designers
The Spanish furniture company, Actiu, 2017 National Design Award Winner, has moved its Paris showroom to the very heart of the city in order to get closer to its customers in France. Actiu's new showroom is located in a historic building along the city's route of architects and designers.
The showroom, which is now open to the public by appointment, is a new conceptual space inspired by new ways of working and is designed to create agile, comfortable and safe environments. Areas that simulate the workspaces that Actiu helps to design and furnish, showcasing the company's products as well as the concepts it develops in all its projects.
“The result is an experiential, Mediterranean, healthy and technological space that seeks to become a meeting point for professionals and companies with which Actiu is looking to offer a comprehensive and complete service“, explained Soledat Berbegal, Consultant and Brand Reputation Director at Actiu .
A place where well-being plays a key role and people are at the heart of everything. An aspect that Actiu has been specialised in since 2019, after being awarded the WELL V2 Platinum Certification which accredits its headquarters as the fifth healthiest building in the world, the second healthiest in Europe and the healthiest in Spain, with one of the highest certification ratings in the world.
Actiu's Paris showroom has moved from an area near the Arc de Triomphe to the most prestigious area of the city, at street level and in the basement of a historic building next to the Seine and the Place de la Bastille. The space, developed as a workspace for Actiu's team in the French capital, is also conceived as an exhibition area that can showcase, in a detailed and highly visual manner, all of the brand's proposals for designing and developing any project for workspaces and hospitality environments.
450 square metres recreate real settings that are typical of hospitality environments, along with Actiu's know-howin designing efficient and flexible workspaces such as those promoted by the ‘Cool Working by Actiu’ philosophy.
The interior design project is the result of a collaboration between Actiu and COSÍN Estudio in Valencia. The showroom revolves around accent colours that range from the characteristic red of the Actiu brand to the black of its Karbon chair, the company's iconic carbon fibre piece. Therefore, the first room customers see when they step into our new showroom is the Red Box, decorated entirely in red. Actiu has advantage of the fact that it is accessible from the street to strengthen its brand image.
The tour of the two floors concludes in the Black Room, a room furnished with the unique Karbon chair, winner of a Red Dot Award, whose black version has inspired this room's décor. Two accent colours that frame the rest of the installations in which green and blue tones are combined to recall the showroom's Mediterranean essence where the versatility of Actiu's products in different settings can be seen first-hand.
“Moods are directly linked to colours. Colour is increasingly being treated as an inseparable part of architecture, not only on an aesthetic level, but also as a psychological and sensory element. That is why we have used this play of colours to come up with a new experience for visitors,” explains Soledat Berbegal.
Furthermore, the new Parisian showroom has been equipped with the latest virtual reality technology to offer a complete experience, which can even be visited virtually through the new Actiu SmARt Tour app.
This space therefore embodies the company's more than 50 years of experience in manufacturing furniture for workspaces and hospitality environments based on innovation, design, sustainability and user comfort.
Actiu has worked on major projects in France and for well-known French companies in other parts of the world. The company, based in Alicante, was entrusted with furnishing the new Renault offices in Alcobendas (Madrid) as well as the new headquarters that the logistics company Solystic inaugurated in Alixan, in the Drôme region, in the south-east of the country. It has also participated in providing the furniture to transform the work philosophy of the regional headquarters of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the newly-renovated Grand Hotel-Dieu in Lyon, among other projects.
