For the fifth year running, Pedrali has been partner of I Maestri del Paesaggio, the international festival, now at the eighth edition, organized by Arketipos along with the town council of Bergamo, dedicated to the landscape which attracts the best designers and the most interesting expressions of the international landscaping. From 6th to 23rd September 2018 the city has been at the heart of the landscaping culture and the jewel-square of Bergamo Alta was once more a stage of nature and beauty.
The theme of this edition is “PLANT LANDSCAPE“, proposed by the Dutch landscape Architect Piet Oudolf, an installation that transforms Piazza Vecchia in an amazing garden. Piet Oudolf, internationally recognised as a Master of plant design, is the head of the “New Perennial”, a movement which prefers the use of perennial flowers and grasses in gardening. His landscape projects, skilfully designed, evoke the past of the place by celebrating the aesthetics of the plant world and by inviting the visitors to stop, observe and reflect.
Pedrali outdoor collections decorate Piazza Vecchia, heart of the event in Bergamo Alta: TRIBECA chairs and armchairs, NOLITA tables, ISLAND armchairs and poufs are arranged at the most representative locations.
Getting inspiration from the theme of “Plant Landscape”, the Green Design 2018 is staged in the most impressive historical sites of Città Alta including the ancient Lavatoio. With the Garden Lounge - Pedrali at the Antico Lavatoio by Lucia Nusiner the Italian company embraces the philosophy of the event and transforms the suggestive square of the Antico Lavatoio into a convivial garden, where furniture and vegetation harmoniously blend with the surrounding environment.
Visitors can sit on TRIBECA chairs, armchairs and stools from the latest collection, designed by Mandelli Pagliarulo; they can take a break from the daily hustle on REVA sofa by Patrick Jouin or immerse in the atmosphere which in this corner of Città Alta has been made more magical thanks to the light of GIRAVOLTA and HAPPY APPLE lamps designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari.
