Actiu, the company from Alicante, specializing in the manufacture of office and contract furniture, takes a giant leap to introduce its wide collection of products in the Asian region, faithful to its philosophy of efficiency and sustainability.
Actiu has opened a networking space in Australia in which, besides offering, an exhibitive space of all its products, shows the values of the company. The showroom is designed to serve as a link to European companies and industries who want to explore new business networks in the Asia - Pacific region. Thus, Actiu offers the networking centre to other companies as a meeting place, so they can organize their own promotional events and business meetings.
With the opening of this space, Actiu has made a huge commitment to the future of the Asian region. Vicente Berbegal, president and founder explains, “when we decided, several years ago that we were not going to manufacture in China, as we were relying on our territory, we also made clear that our objective was to sell our product in that part of the world”. The new Actiu Sydney Showroom, marks the entry into a country with enormous commercial potential and furthermore, consolidates the business strategy in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.
The new space has a surface area of 290 m2 and is situated in Pyrmont, Sydney. At the inauguration 120 guests were invited mostly from the world of prescription (architects, designers, facility management...) Actiu also received the support and presence of different Spanish institutions with headquarters in Sydney, such as the Spanish Commissioner for Trade, Christina Teijelo and the president of the Chamber of Commerce for Spain, Lillian Ajuria.
Actiu´s commitment towards the environment, through its integration of policies and initiatives on sustainable manufacturing and the obtainment of LEED® Gold, which guarantees it´s commitment to design, winner of several international awards such as The Red Dot Awards for best product design and holds a leading market position within the top 25 companies in terms of net income, acts as a sufficient guarantee to ensure that the Australian market receives the products presented by Actiu enthusiastically.
Actiu demonstrates by example that sustainability and business are not only compatible but furthermore, profitable. Amongst the products on display, we should highlight the desk program Mobility, as well as, the concept of training spaces formed by using Mit and Uka chairs, Informa customer service counter and Audit seating, commended by the participants.
For a touch of colour, all the participants were able to sample Spanish tapas, paella and Rioja wine because Actiu offered Spanish cuisine on this occasion.
