Artemide presents the 2012 novelties at Light + Building (Frankfurt) and Fuori Salone del Mobile (Milan)

Also this year Artemide presents an important list of novelties, that will be appreciated by the professionals of lighting design and projects, as well as by “light lovers”. The main technological player in this new season of Artemide is the LED source, which turns out very promising in terms of performance and sustainability. The Company, which boasts a long-standing and qualified competence in this area, now uses it for very inspiring and original projects.

“In order to use LEDs most effectively, I have thoroughly reviewed the approach of Artemide to design, however maintaining a very close relation with the most outstanding figures of international design. These are supported by my own lighting engineer's experience, as well as by other specialists, including IT and electronic experts, who are expanding the culture of light in truly unexpected ways, strengthening our baseline concepts and our research on new materials and new performances.” says mr. Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide's president.

This vision, which sees light as the result of new cultural synergies, is the basis of the cross-connections that are now a feature of the Artemide lighting world: a world that offers integrated and comprehensive solutions for all lighting requirements of modern life - from the home to the office, from hotels to the stores of the main international brands, from communities to public concerns, with a special focus on the outdoor solutions , that animate a brand new ad hoc catalogue.

Among the 2012 novelties Artemide underlines the collection IN EI ISSEY MIYAKE “When you see them, you can’t help feeling moved; when you understand them, you are full of wonder seeing a future we thought unreachable and couldn’t imagine this beautiful”. Ernesto Gismondi introduces IN-EI ISSEY MIYAKE's lighting, as conceived by Issey Miyake and his Reality Lab., and brought to life by Artemide.
