Mediterranean perfumes, sardinian cousine, Italian style. Pedrali keeps cultivating the relationship with the best international restaurants: Frida chair, one of the most prestigious products of the italian company, designed by Odo Fioravanti and winner of ADI Compasso d’Oro, is now part of the furniture of the new London Olivo restaurant.

Situated at 21 Eccleston Street, near to Buckingham Palace gardens, Olivo aims to become a must-attend destination in the capital of the United Kingdom for international gourmets. Excellent Mediterranean food and a remarkable architectural context are the main ingredients of the new restaurant. The access to the restaurant and the whole building are strictly respectful of the London Victorian tradition and the interior design, curated by Pierluigi Piu architect, is featured by dark tones and soft light to create a cosy and intimate environment.

A small entrance lobby leads to the main dining room, dominated by a first wide wall “tapestry” inspired by typical Sardinian fabrics, defined “da pibione”, a sort of grains in relief made up of small loops performed with weft thread. The premises walls are covered with a matt finish of resin and cement finely grained, coloured in the warm and dark shades of dove grey and burnt coffee which, while producing an effect of a diffuse semi-darkness, give prominence to the bas-reliefs in sepia colour and emphasize the tablecloths in natural linen.

To complete the furniture stands out Frida chair, designed by Odo Fioravanti and winner of ADI Compasso d’Oro in the year 2011, here proposed in the stained wenge version. A chair that embodies sophisticated technology and represents a landmark in woodworking. Thanks to the superposition of a three-dimensional curved plywood shell of just 3.5mm to a solid wood frame, the seating results particularly lightweight (it weighs only 2,7 kg) and so suitable for dynamic working contexts such as restaurants.
