2016 ADI Awards finalists announced

ADI Awards Finalists, which include the Delta Awards, the ADI Medals Awards and the new ADI Culture Award, are now public.

The selection committee of the 1st edition of the ADI Awards is formed by the Board of ADI-FAD, a group of experts from different fields of industrial and product design, communication, teaching or design theory, which has 102 projects selected as Finalists of the more than 340 submitted.

The Delta Awards

A total of 80 Finalist projects this year are eligible for the Delta Awards. The submitted products can be categorized in many different fields: products for people, for the habitat, for work, for outdoor environments and mobility. From lamps to motorbikes or bicycles, can be found among the list of Finalists. A single Gold Delta and several Silver Delta that the jury will decide on June 8th.

The ADI Culture Award

The ADI Culture Award aimes to award projects that help spread the culture of design, beyond the objects. The award has two categories: Project and Trajectory. In its 1st call, in the Project category, around 80 projects have been submitted, of which 35 have been chosen and selected, first 10 Finalists, who have become 12 after the Jury considered two more. On this awards there will only be a winner.

The ADI Medals

An award focused on young professionals recently emerged from schools, which Fundació Banc Sabadell sponsors every year, making this award possible. Organized parallel to the Delta Awards, the award shares the same international jury, which will choose the projects worthy of a Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Bronze Medal. As every year, the jury will assess the 10 Finalist projects.
