Poise, sobriety and timelessness are the qualities that best describe JIAN. The collection designed by the Neri & Hu Studio for GANDIABLASCO, has been expanded with two new timeless design pieces that combine aesthetics and functionality: the Hooded sofa with its clean geometric silhouette canopy and the JIAN terrace recliner.

As with the rest of the collection they are inspired by the Chinese character “JIAN / between”, which is one of the two words which together mean “space between time and people”, JIAN is translated into a contemporary designer object that combines functional aesthetics and outdoor furniture.
“We wanted to create a collection that would have a timeless quality about it, that could capture both time and space, the sky and the earth, something that would lend poetry to open spaces and that would provide a sanctuary of peace within the stresses of daily life,” affirm the designers.
The collection is composed of versatile pieces with different functions for outdoor or inside use: modular sofas, hooded sofas, armchair, sofa, poof, terrace recliner and auxiliary table. Based on a careful study of context and functional objectivity the collection is made from welded powder-coated aluminium profiles and is available in white, bronze, sand and anthracite colour options for the subtle integration with any environment. The board structure is Solid Surface 100% recyclable, the upholstery is removable and is coated with water-repellent fabric.
