In the highest area of Barcelona, Isabel López Vilalta + Asociados has realized this Medical Center addressed to an international and cosmopolitan public, and as such, the interior design studio has captured creating a clean and relaxing environment,
Isabel López Vilalta + Asociados explains us,
Taking into account that odontology is one of its principal offers, we thought of transforming the ceiling using a shiny white material that would reflect the exterior, therefore while patients are attended they can be distracted looking outside and help lower the tension generated from the activity taking place.
In terms of layout, the five treatment rooms, two with dental chairs, were aligned with the grid formed by the buildings columns and surrounding the central nucleus.
In the centre of the space you can find the waiting area, surrounded by treatment rooms, services, X-ray and sterilization rooms. Aiming to create a serene and welcoming space for patients, the materials used in the spaces are warm and natural.
These are complemented with texturized glazings in the windows, that introduce natural light and illuminate the whole space whilst providing privacy to the treatment rooms. All the other interior partitions are covered with mirrors and glass illuminated with back lights. This effect together with the shiny ceiling creates a spacious and bright interior.
The materials used in the interior of the treatment rooms stand out for its clean aspect in contrast with the warmth of the wood and the natural leather.
