Las Vegas Market sees continued growth in Furniture category leading into Winter 2015 market

Las Vegas Market continues to see sustained growth throughout the furniture category with 20 renewals, four expansions and eleven new tenants for Winter Market 2015, which runs from Sunday, January 18 through Thursday, January 22. The additions in furniture impact roughly 220,000 square feet of showroom space, with more companies signing on at a steady pace. Online registration is now open.

“We are seeing continued momentum and upward progress across the board in the furniture category,” says Craig Staack, vice president of home furnishings leasing for International Market Centers. “New and existing tenants continue to see the value in being part of the only major home furnishings market in the West. The cross-category nature of our market continues to attract more and more buyers from all channels because we provide a platform to buy across all categories for the home and even gift if that is part of their assortment mix.”

Joining preeminent brands such as Bassett, Dovetail, Lexington, Magnussen, Natuzzi and Phillips Collection are the following newcomers:

Alder & Tweed (B-158; 2,090 square feet)

Alder and Tweed offers one of the largest selections of 100% genuine leather dining and occasional chairs in the industry. Pieces are made of solid wood with corner-blocked chair frames for integrity and stability as well as high-density/fire retardant foam to maintain comfort and shape.

Argo Furniture (B-728; 3,520 square feet)

Established in 1981, Hong Kong-based Dickson Furniture manufactures a full line of furniture distributed under the Argo name throughout the United States. The company offers quality modern sofas, chairs, bedroom furniture and accent pieces in a variety of fabrics and finishes.

Baxton Studio / Wholesale Interiors (B-728; 4,271 square feet)

Wholesale Interiors, Inc., began offering furniture online in the year 2002. • Palliser (B-1001) more than doubled their space, bringing their footprint up to 15,694 square feet; and
• Cheers Man-Wah (B-600) added nearly 5,000 square feet of showroom space for a total of 20,381 square feet.
• Softide (B-962) purchased Ergomotion, formerly in Building A (A-938), and relocated to a larger showroom for a combined square footage of 5,680 square feet.

In addition to new companies and expansions, Las Vegas Market heads into Winter with 20 renewals among current tenants, including Christo Rey, Barcalounger, Pastel, Araam, Elements, Hillsdale, Corporate Images/Sonax, Tvilum, Rug Factory, Best Master, Prana Sleep, Best Chairs, Englander, Ultra Comfort, Zedbed, Coaster, Mobital, Whittier Wood, Specialty Sleep Association and Mac Motion.
