Finnish company Nikari shows its product “September”. A bar stool designed this month by Russian architect Mikhail Barashkov within Nikari project “Designs for Nature”: 12 months, 12 designers, 12 products.
The designer, Russian architect Mikhail Barashkov started his design process from the beautiful elm wood material and the thought of repeating a similar solid wood strip in the seat as well as in the back rest. The result is SEPTEMBER bar stool, which can be seen at Budapest Design Week ”Slow Design” & “Fiskars Pop Up Restaurant” 28.9.-7.10., Hungary.
The Project 2012 Designs for Nature has been carried out by Nikari in co-operation with the Finnish WWF, and is based in the manufacture of 12 products during the 12 months of the year by 12 recognized designers over the world, who use local forests’ wood and part od the sales price is donated to protecting rainforests and forests globally.
