Feria Hábitat Valencia has already drawn up the master plan for its next edition, which takes place from 11th to 14th February 2014. One of the major new features of the show is that it will be running at the same time as the two other major Spanish trade fairs related to interiors: Cevisama and Fimma - Maderalia. The leading fair for ‘made in Spain’ interiors will be located on Level 1 at Feria Valencia, with exhibits segmented by style and the kitchen section again staged by SICI.
The move has the backing of all the sectors involved and is designed to create synergies between the four exhibitions so that visiting professionals gain an insight into all areas of industry related to the home. The initiative is unique amongst the specialist international fairs and has been launched in response to the changes in the industry and in business models.
Taken together, the content of these three fairs offers a showcase, on a scale never seen before, dedicated to interior design, decor, architecture and the home and embracing furniture, lighting, home textiles, ceramic coverings, marble, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, parquet and laminated flooring...in short, everything that could be needed to fulfil a complete design project for a habitable space.
What is more, the appeal of each individual fair to Spanish and international professionals will be further enhanced by the fact that this content will also appeal to their clients in the increasingly important contract market (equipment and resources for communal facilities). This target market consists mainly of architects, interior designers and decorators who are looking for comprehensive decorating solutions and account for over 20% of all visitors to each of these shows.
A stronger international dimension
As Feria Hábitat Valencia president, entrepreneur José Blasco comments, “this is a project that is a win-win for everyone. On the one hand visitors to our fair will also have the opportunity to see the significant offering of the Cevisama and Fimma-Maderalia fairs. On the other, of course, having the Spanish and international visitors to the complementary fairs around means our exhibitors will have the opportunity to further expand the number and profile of their customer base.”
Blasco's focus is on the overseas markets because, he explains, these synergies mean that Feria Hábitat Valencia “is now a much stronger force in the international arena and an even greater platform for exports. We are therefore providing solutions to companies’ need to sell in the international marketplace looking forward.”
Feria Hábitat Valencia 2014 sectors. The return of the kitchen.
The entire content of Feria Hábitat Valencia 2014 will be housed on Level 1 at Feria Valencia, structured by segment and style to both promote business and make it easier for visiting professionals to find their way around. One outstanding feature is the inclusion of the SICI kitchen show, by which the kitchen sector returns to the Valencia showcase as an event in its own right.
More specifically, the fair is being organized as follows
HABITAT > Home Textiles. The top manufacturers and the most innovative designers in Valencia will be exhibiting at the show: upholstery, bed, table and bathroom linen, curtains and rugs.
HABITAT > Lighting. A unique show for the decorative and technical lighting offering.
HABITAT > ‘Haute’ decor. An exclusive space defined by its carefully conceived design, the unique quality of the collections being exhibited and the exclusive nature of the visitors, who hail to a substantial degree from international markets.
HABITAT > Contemporary. This section shows the most contemporary offering of furniture for the home, particularly for youngsters, designs for upholstered furniture and an extensive range of bedroom furniture.
HABITAT > Design Hall. This is a space dedicated to the most innovative interiors and will include an area reserved for the National Design Prizes, a ‘Design Area‘ zone showcasing practitioners at the leading edge of design, a multi-function area for conferences, presentations and meetings and, lastly, the space dedicated to the Salón nude, the hothouse of innovation and meeting point for designers, manufacturers, training centres, universities, technology institutes, associations and other organisations involved in design.

50th anniversary
Another of the great attractions of the upcoming edition of Feria Hábitat Valencia is that it will be the 50th anniversary of the first Valencia Furniture Fair - ideal timing for launching this new project through which Feria Hábitat Valencia, in concert with Cevisama and Fimma - Maderalia, will be seeking to further boost its commitment to driving the industry forward and positioning itself as a key business development platform and springboard to international markets. The fair will be staging a number of events to commemorate the moment.
Feria Hábitat Valencia has already begun the process of marketing the exhibition space, ten months ahead of the show.
