Stua at Orona Ideo Headquarters in Spain, the emblematic project by Eneko Goicoechea and Xabier Barrutieta

STUA has had the opportunity to participate in the interior design of the Orona Ideo project. Located in Hernani, Spain, Orona Ideo combines business, university and research and want to be the first European research and innovation center for sustainable urban mobility.

Orona Ideo becomes the most emblematic architectural project carried out in recent years in the Basque Country. The neuralgic center of this project is a cylindrical building, inserted diagonally in the ground and that is work of the architects Eneko Goicoechea and Xabier Barrutieta. In this environment, with a marked architectural character, the pure lines of STUA furniture fit perfectly.

STUA is present in three main areas of this landmark project:
- Open & meeting spaces: Onda stools.
- Restaurant: Lau tables with Laclasica chairs.
- Bar & staff canteen: Onda stools.
Onda, Lau and Laclasica are designs by Jesus Gasca.

ORONA: Is a Spanish company and one of the European leaders in the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance and modernization of mobility solutions, such as lifts, escalators, moving ramps ... and that has like pillars the energy efficiency and the sustainable design . One of every ten lifts currently installed in Europe is from Orona.

STUA: is a design furniture manufacturer from San Sebastian, Spain, founded in 1983 by Jesús Gasca. STUA offers a contemporary furniture collection based on chairs, tables, stools, storage, lounge and outdoor furniture. STUA collection is suitable for residential use or commercial enviroments. What separates STUA furniture from much of contemporary design furniture is the enduring nature of form. The timeless design.

The work of STUA is conceived and executed at an extraordinarily high level of aesthetic and engineering detail. The work is innovative and original. There is a fresh spirit to the work, but its character is grounded firmly in the principles and character of classic modern design, that of simplicity and timelessness.
