The TNK A500 by Actiu is dressed in red to fly to Stockholm as the new addition at the Red exhibition

The Actiu TNK A500 will be one of the new items that form part of the exhibition “RED Spanish design on stage”, the exhibition sponsored by Red - a meeting of Spanish design companies - and which will be present from 4 to 8 February in Stockholm, specifically at the next edition of the Stockholm Furniture Fair & Northern Light Fair 2014.

The Red Show is a stage consisting of contemporary design pieces: products designed, promoted and produced mostly in our country and are currently the stars of the international hábitat-design landscape. The demonstration, organised by the Arquitectura-G studio, strengthens each one of the projects and enables its roaming through different spaces.

At the Red Show it exhibits 32 products from different Spanish brands committed to design, which is the key to business differential and amongst them you can find the International leaders such as LZF-Lamps, Sancal, Nanimarquina, Santa&Cole, Vondom and Andreu World and more. This will be the first time that these will be displayed outside of Spain, Stockholm being the city chosen to give an International dimension to the RED show.

For this occasion, Actiu has manufactured an exclusive, its awarded chair Tnk A500, designed by Alegre Industrial Studio, winner of Red Dot in 2012, one of the most prestigious awards in the design industry. The chair, which meets the same requirements as all the others, is dressed in RED for this excellent opportunity.

The exhibition, that will be present during the trade fair in the Pavillion B, 16.11 - 16.19, will open on 4 February at a private event in the Spanish Ambassador's house in Stockholm. Once the trade fair is over, the exhibition will be moved to the newly opened Design museum DHUB in Barcelona, where it will stay until the next destination is made public..

The participation at The RED SHOW has come from the recent entrance of Actiu as an associated company to RED, a meeting of Spanish design companies. RED is an association, with great International prestige, which represents the interests of the Spanish companies from the habitat and design sectors. The main aim of this association is to defend and promote the value of design, creativity and the innovation of companies; to recognise and protect intellectual property; to listen to the demands of society in the field of habitat and ensure the competitiveness of the companies and the products designed.

Currently the group is made up of 43 Spanish brands with a high International profile. RED coordinates the participation of its members at International Trade Fairs such as Maison&Objet-Paris, The Salone del Mobile in Milan, Stockholm Furniture Fair and Qubique, Berlin. It also organises press releases online and offline, meetings with prescribers, government advocates... and of course it tries to improve the ranking of Spanish Design through events, campaigns, exhibitions, etc.

Actiu trusts in the management and support of RED to the companies driving design as a means of improving products and innovation in their production and is what has led them to become part of the association.
