Westwing.es, the leading online decoration club in Spain, is present at the 53rd edition of Casa Decor with a spectacular space projected this time by the architect and interior designer Jean Porsche.
Westwing, which offers its members furniture and accessories in all styles with discounts of up to -70%, participates one more time in this exclusive interior design exhibition with an elegant, sophisticated and very Westwing space. Located this year in a magnificent building of houses dated in 1901 located in the street Francisco de Rojas of Madrid, the space has 3,100 square meters and will be open to the public from February 15 to March 25.
“We like to be present at Casa Decor, because it is an opportunity to get a little closer to our partners, making known not only our products, but the incredible environments that can be achieved with them. This time we want to show our most sophisticated side and for that we have chosen Jean Porsche, “says Silvia Arenas, creative director of Westwing Spain. “Elegant and daring at the same time, we have asked you to design a special, fresh and distinguished room. A room with Westwing spirit.”
They call this space “The large living room“, and Porsche defines it as “a room inspired not only by the glamor of the Upper East Side of New York, but also by the classicism of old Madrid's buildings“. Fresh, overflowing with greens and vibrant yellows, the space “mixes the textile luxury of Dorothy Draper and the Castiza tradition of Madrid“.
There, resounding pieces like a huge jewel-lamp presiding over the living room or the XL photograph of the great Slim Aarons, always giving off aristocratic freshness, contrast with a very elegant table at the entrance welcoming visitors with natural flowers. Among the recognized firms that have collaborated in the space stand out Gastón y Daniela, Vista Alegre, Thai Natura, Safavieh, Oliva Iluminación, Yellow Korner, Artelore and the artist Joselu Montojo.
In this project for Westwing.es, Jean Porsche confesses having “reinvented” himself, betting heavily on floral prints without renouncing his usual geometries. “My personal style is minimalist Baroque, but now I am very floral,” says the interior designer of Mexican origin. Porsche has assembled for Westwing.es in this magnificent staging an unmistakable trio of trends: minimalist Baroque , luxury in textures and a new and splendid Art Déco.
The Westwing team in Spain is currently formed by a staff of more than 100 professionals from the decoration, journalism and finance sectors. The founding partners of the business project and its consolidation in Spain are Víctor García de Santiago and Juan Sureda, CEOs of Westwing who, together with Silvia Arenas, Creative Director of Westwing.es, passionately lead the project.
