Viteri/Lapeña interior design studio was born from the collaboration between Aitor Viteri and Elena Lapeña, graduates in interior architecture and lovers of the plastic arts. Forming a team for twenty years, they face each project as if it were the first and integral: design of space, work and decoration. They love the contract and they make homes with soul. Passionate about materials, art and craftsmanship, the result is always a mix of meticulous forms and details that reflect the client's taste and the intention of the interior designers. In 2018, the duo participates for the fourth consecutive year in Casa Decor with a project they have called “Manhattan” for one of the public toilets on the second floor.
Viteri and Lapeña revolutionize the concept of the stay creating an intimate, elegant and unique space where the user will feel the need to see and touch to discover the details that hide behind a closed space. Venetian blinds designed by them and inspired by the Art Deco shapes cross the walls providing serenity and balance. At the same time, these lattices hide sensations of light, color and textures to discover. They have been made by Ramos and Cobos.
Crowning the room, a magnificent Colorker marble rug personalized to the purest New York style of the 30s envelops us and takes us back in time to that time. Oriental paintings with plant motifs, designed and executed by Viteri/Lapeña, descend from the ceiling merging with the organic shapes and curves of the central elements of the space.
The four washbasins, designed by the interior designers, are made by Indesplasma and presided over by a paper sculpture by Beatriz Gove. The switches used are Hager, the moldings are Orac Decor and the paint is Procolor. Rich materials and high quality finishes make this space recall the best years of Art Deco.
