The Home & Trend Award for interior innovations and trend products during Tendence 2016
Which product is the right one for me? - With its Home & Trend Award, the LifeCare Initiative provides consumers with professional assistance and guidance in making purchase decisions. This is the sixth time that the prestigious award is being presented in the course of Tendence, the international consumer-goods fair in Frankfurt am Main from 27 to 30 August.
“As an important venue for launching new products, Tendence is not only the impulse generator and source of inspiration for the consumer-goods sector, but also the ideal platform for an independent seal of quality, such as the Home & Trend Award. With the dedicated exhibition area and award ceremony at Tendence, we are really looking forward to being able to offer our buyers a comprehensive overview of outstanding products“, says Bettina Bär, Director Tendence.
The ‘Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Trend Product of the Year’ awards are given to exceptional products that are characterised by their special design, and also by their qualities in terms of innovation, functionality, product benefit and ergonomics. The seal of quality is awarded to the best products in the interior design and furnishing industry, in the following categories: ‘Garden and Leisure’, ‘Furniture and Decoration’, ‘Bath and Wellness’, ‘Building fixtures and Interior design’, ‘Large and Small electrical appliances’ and ‘Household and Cleaning’.
This year there is a new award for ‘Smart Home’ concepts, which will play an important role in the homes of tomorrow. “These are technologies that serve to enhance everyday comfort, energy efficiency and security. Successful use of these systems depends essentially on criteria such as their user-friendliness, reliability and security, as well as trouble-free operation. This ensures that ‘smart living’ becomes accessible and beneficial for all“, says Harald Schultes, Director of the LifeCare Initiative.
After its launch last year, the awards for the best products in the field of hotel furnishings/public buildings will take place again in 2016 as well. The aim of this is also to provide guidance for those buyers who are interested in contract business solutions.
In addition to a jury of experts, the end consumers themselves decide who is to receive the awards. The independent jury will nominate selected products for the end user vote. The best and most popular products in each category will be selected by means of a survey conducted by a market research institute.
The award-winning products will be showcased for the whole duration of the fair in a special exhibition space in Galleria 0. The awards ceremony will also take place during Tendence. Entry details and terms and conditions of the competition can be found on the internet at: www.hometrendaward.com.
