All Koelnmesse‘s events relating to Interiors and Furnishings enjoy great popularity around the world and attract large numbers of bookings with an excellent demand for space. The coming imm cologne, the international meeting place for the furnishing and interior design industry, is no exception. By the end of June 2013, booking status is already extraordinarily good: a great many exhibitors have taken advantage of the early bird period and confirmed their participation. In particular, the event's popularity with foreign exhibitors continues unabated. In total, more than 60 percent of the planned space has already been allocated.
“We’re starting in pole position,” says Frank Haubold, Vice President Trade Fair Management. “We will use this excellent starting point to move the development of the imm cologne and its innovative trade fair formats forward with further strategic measures.” One of these measures is the expansion of the Sleep segment. In recent years, the imm cologne's Sleep category in Hall 9 has made it the leading trade show for this sector of the industry. Every year, Hall 9 was booked out very quickly and potential exhibitors could only put their names down on a waiting list. That will change in 2014. Due to the return of major market players and the strong demand for space in this segment, the trade fair corporation has decided to expand the Sleep category by assigning Hall 5.2 to the segment.
LivingInteriors, which will open its doors for the second time next year, is another of Koelnmesse's strategic measures. The LivingInteriors event in Hall 4.2 stands for holistic interior and furnishing concepts and, together with the imm cologne, paints a comprehensive and innovatively presented picture of the entire world of interiors. Flooring, wall coverings and lighting put the finishing touches to furniture, thus creating interesting and attractive interior concepts. In the bathroom, various areas of the home are intermingling - the bathroom is turning into a private spa. Scenarios of complete interior worlds provide an impressive demonstration of the latest possibilities, materials and trends in interior design and serve as a platform for forward-looking ideas.
Every year, as a major source of impetus for the design of interior worlds, the imm cologne showcases the industry's world firsts, product innovations and concept studies. The trade show format has evolved from a fair purely for furniture into an interior design show with a clear claim to leadership and is thus a must-attend event in the trade show diaries of decision-makers from the furniture trade, architecture and design.
For a total of 140,000 visitors, including 42,000 consumers, approx 10,000 architects and designers and around 3,000 journalists, more than 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world turned the imm cologne 2013 into the international business event for the furnishing and interiors industry.
The next dual exhibition imm cologne // LivingInteriors will take place from 13-19 January 2014. Many more details are available at: www.imm-cologne.com // www.livinginteriors-cologne.com
