Shortlist announced for awards to the best world designed Restaurants and Bars of 2017/2018

As every year at this time we are very aware about the publication of the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards shortlist, and how could it be otherwise, this list have already been announced for the 2018 edition: The best designed restaurants and bars in the world all its categories. This edition we find up to seven spectacular Spanish spaces among the chosen ones.

The shortlist includes 257 projects across 34 categories from the world's leading architects, interior designers, lighting designers and hospitality operators. Now in its tenth year, the 2018 awards received 900 submissions from the UK and 70 other countries. You can view the Shortlist HERE.

Among international categories, we find up to seven Spanish restaurants/bars selected as finalists. Three of them are in the “European Restaurant” category: “Samaná” in La Coruña, designed by Mas Arquitectura, “Romola” in Madrid, designed by Office for Political Innovation, and “Cafe Comercial” in Madrid, designed by Madrid in Love..

The El Equipo Creativo studio, already awarded in previous editions, is nominated as finalist in three categories for three different works, and they are: in the “NightClub” category for the space “Bala Perdida” in Madrid, in the “Surfaces Interiors” category for the “Tunateca Balfego“ restaurant in Barcelona and, finally, in the “Color” category we find the “Las Chicas Los Chicos and Los Maniquís“ restaurant in Madrid. In addition, in the “Ceiling” category is finalist the restaurant “La Pilar Asador” in Murcia, designed by Pulpas.
